ARTIST BIO

Young Philadelphia songstress Gina Sicilia exploded onto the scene in 2007, as her debut CD, Allow Me To Confess, was met with joyous acclaim by fans and critics alike. She was heralded as a distinctive new voice in the Blues, as well as an insightful songwriter and interpreter of neglected classics in the Rhythm & Blues canon.

In 2008 she was nominated for “Best New Artist Debut” at the Blues Music Awards in Memphis,  Tennessee, just as her sophomore release Hey Sugar proved her also to be a legitimate contender in the worlds of Classic Country and Americana. With her new 2011 release, Can't Control Myself, Gina broadens her stylistic palette, infusing even more Soul and Americana into her bedrock influences of Blues and R&B. This CD features seven new Gina Sicilia compositions, as well as three choice covers borrowed from Bobby Bland, Stevie Wonder, and Ike & Tina Turner.

Gina’s singing and songwriting continue to break new ground, showing remarkable depth, power, and seemingly unstoppable growth. Can't Control Myself was produced and engineered by Gina’s label mate, the insanely talented Dave Gross, who also played every instrumental track on the record except for trumpet, sax, and one lap-steel track. Now 25 years old, the genre-defying Gina Sicilia continues to smash pigeonholes into kindling and redefine the boundaries of soulful music.

ARTIST BIO
Forged in the Michigan factory towns that have served as a melting pot of inspiration for scores of legendary acts and tempered on stages the world over, RWB’s music has been described as “A smart collection of adrenalized modern blues that showcases not only Rusty Wright's considerable guitar chops but an obvious ability to fuse blues and rock in a way that draws from the former's traditions and the latter's high-voltage power.” Blues Impresario Steve Simon called them “One of the most entertaining Blues bands in the country today,” and Rick Raven of Rev. Raven & the Chain Smokin' Altar Boys said "The Rusty Wright Band should headline EVERY show they are on. This band is THAT good. Best I've seen in years."
Make no mistake - this act is much more than a "guitar" band. Soaring Hammond B3 organ, bouncing piano runs and soulful vocal riffs volley to and fro across the stage in answer to Rusty's six-string challenge as he pushes his band to ever greater feats of improvisation as the band swings, rocks and croons its way through sets of music from the band's three CDs and two concert DVDs.

Formed in 2004, the Rusty Wright Band brings to the stage an electrifying, blues-infused tour de force of rollicking musical interplay that is as much fun to watch as it is to listen to. Fronting the band with Wright is his wife, vocalist/guitarist Laurie LaCross-Wright. As they harmonize together and trade vocals on verses, their onstage chemistry is both obvious and engaging, and their good-natured banter between songs brings knowing smiles to the faces of everyone who has ever been in a relationship.

The group's first album "Ain't No Good Life" [Sadson Music 2006] received excellent reviews and more than 5 years later continues to appear occasionally on the iTunes Blues charts across the globe. Their second album, "Playing with Fire" [Sadson Music 2009] enjoyed airplay in more than 100 countries, appeared on the regional Billboard charts, appeared on the iTunes Blues charts more than 135 times globally, and continues to receive airplay on Sirius/XM radio.

Their live performances are where RWB really shines though. Concert and festival tours have taken them through the United States, the US Virgin Islands, Canada, S. Korea & Japan ["Bluzapalooza IV" Department of Defense Armed Forces Entertainment tour], and Italy. They have twice represented the Detroit Blues Society in Memphis at the Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge, [semi-finalists] making them the only act to win the world's largest IBC preliminary competition more than once. This five-piece "energized blues storm" takes audiences on a joyful, rolling tour of souped-up Americana as hints of jazz, southern rock, and even country find their way into a veritable blues stew dished up and served steaming hot with a healthy dose of Motor City flair and attitude. It's a vibrant, honest blending of sounds and styles that brings audiences to their feet and leaves them feeling good!

Indigenous

Band website hosting

Artist Bio
Mato Nanji's always provided the heartbeat of the band Indigenous - along with the warm dusty voice and the soaring, spirited guitar fireworks that have earned the group from South Dakota's Nakota Nation a place among roots rock's elite. But with the emotionally charged and musically visceral Broken Lands, the band's second album on Vanguard Records, Nanji makes a transformation from sparkplug to visionary.

"I've wanted to make an album like this for years," Nanji explains, "but to a certain extent my hands were tied. Now I feel like I've achieved so many things I've wanted this band to be. the songs I'm singing are more personal. The sound of the band has broadened, and we were able to explore all the influences that are woven into that sound - blues, soul, R&B, and even country - more than ever. And the guitar playing is more controlled, to really let the songs speak for themselves. On top of all that, I've grown as a singer. After being frustrated for a while, all of this makes me very happy.

The Avett Brothers

Sell music itunes

Artist Bio

There is no harmony like brotherly harmony. Something indelible in the weave of voices and play of sensibilities is stamped into the fraternal DNA and also stems from a lifetime of shared experiences. You can hear it in classic brother acts across the musical spectrum, from the Louvin Brothers to the Everly Brothers and on down the decades through the Wilson brothers (Beach Boys), the Davies brothers (Kinks), the Allman Brothers and even the Brothers Gibb (a.k.a., the Bee Gees). You can clearly hear fraternal magic at work in the songs of Scott and Seth Avett, better known as the Avett Brothers, as well.

That magic is abundantly evident on I and Love and You, the Avett Brothers’ big-label debut. Its 13 songs are delivered in a style that defies pigeonholing but might be described as a rootsy amalgam of folk, country, bluegrass, rock and pop – even a jab of punk-style dynamics here and there. Drawn by the naked honesty of their songs and the rousing intensity of their live shows, legendary producer and talent scout Rick Rubin signed the Avett Brothers – consisting of siblings Scott and Seth, plus bassist Bob Crawford - to his American Recordings label in 2008.

I am an interesting person I have been told.. How does someone who is on the inside very shy, go out and preform every night... Well I don't know I just do. I am very quirky, with a dry sence of humor and like people who like to laugh it off and not take anything too seriously.. Honestly there is always tomorrow to fix it. I like sweet, honest and caring people. I cut out the people in my life that have tried to take advantage of my generous nature and my willingness and preference to give than receive. I still believe in the best in people even though I have seen and experienced the worst.. I am a hopeless romantic. Life is a very long road that you learn something new everyday. Be a sponge and keep your eyes open.. Really I was talking about when I drive. I'm a total Mr Magoo type and I'm not a very good driver!! 2009 BMW 550I Silver.. California tags.. Look out !!
